Are you looking to be seen as an industry leader in sustainable design?
Are you aware of the value that can be added to a property through sustainable resource use, particularly water?
Grey water is water from showers, baths, hand basins and the laundry. With Nubian's market leading technology this grey water is efficiently recycled to a high level of quality, and can be reused for irrigation, car washing, clothes washing and toilet flushing.
The Nubian Greywater Treatment System reduces daily water consumption by 40%, up to 60% when combined with a rain water tank. This reduction results in a much needed saving of the worlds precious drinking water.
Further, the use of greywater guarantees a green garden all year round even in a drought. Research indicates that the value of a house is increased by up to 8% by green planting alone. (1)
How does the Nubian technology work?
The technology in Nubians GT600 is primarily biological and chemical free thus environment friendly, and it is housed in an innovative streamlined unit. The grey water is first passed through a pre-screen, which separates the solids from the water. It then passes through a biological treatment column, which treats the water, and then finally it is passed through a powerful ultraviolet steriliser. The water is then kept in storage tank to be used later.
The Nubian system is only 45 cm deep so it can be neatly mounted against external walls, in a cupboard, along a narrow pathway or even in a garage. It takes up very little floor space and thus can be concealed very easily.
We have three systems that can be customised to meet your needs. Systems are available in a range of capacities, covering single dwellings through to large commercial projects.
Why do I need it?
Globally, there is a clear trend to sustainable design and building. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system was launched in 2000. In 2001 there were 93 registered LEED project and in 2007 there were 5500.
As an architect, you want to be seen as an innovative market leader. You want green credentials and you need a point of differentiation. When you incorporate a Grey Water Treatment System into your design people begin to notice. Your properties will be greener than ever and worth more for it.
Nubians GT600 also contributes to a property's BASIX rating in NSW, and the newly developed Queensland Development Code, making development applications that much more appealing.
