Gary has been a private equity investor in technology, mining and
industrial ventures for over 23 years.
He is a founding member of the company and has established five technology start-up companies including Mine Site Technologies Pty Ltd and Benthic Geotech Pty Ltd (an under-sea drilling venture).
In 1989 Gary founded Jellinbah Resources Pty Ltd and he is a founder of the AGSM Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the UNSW. He has a Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
Gary is a Fellow of the Academy of Technology, Science & Engineering.
Phil McCarthy FAICD Director
Phil is a company director and business advisor specialising in corporate strategy, value creation, acquisitions and divestment in technology, manufacturing, distribution and resources sectors.
His executive career spanned 36 years with Powercoal Pty Ltd, a large coal mining company, from which he retired in 2000 as the long serving CEO and Managing Director. Phil is a Fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds directorships with both listed public and private companies.
Bob McCotter BE(hons), Dip Bdg Sc, FIE Aust, FAICD Director
Bob has 39 years experience in the consulting and development industries in Australia, England and South East Asia; particular experience in water pollution control and administration of multi-disciplinary environmental teams. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons), (Civil & Structural) and a Diploma of Building Science. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Institution of Engineers, Australia and a Member of the Australian Water and Wastewater Association.
Bob is also a Guest Lecturer in environmental engineering at the Universities of Newcastle, Wollongong, UTS and NSW. He provides strategic advice on planning and environmental assessment. Project examples include the assessment panel for the Sydney desalination plant, various coal mines, upgrading Port Botany. Previous projects include a Warragamba Dam Flood Protection EIS proposal to upgrade the flood safety of the dam. Preparation of an environmental impact statement for Jervis Bay Regional Sewerage Scheme EIS for a regional sewerage and sewage disposal scheme for the St Georges Basin/Jervis Bay region.
